As an integral component of a robust and transparent High Performance Framework, SJF (Singapore Judo Federation) publishes a Selection Policy that governs the process of selecting athletes to represent the National Team in international competitions, including the SEA Games.

Athletes chosen to represent Singapore in International Competitions must be Singapore Citizens, be members of an SJF-affiliated judo club adhere to the Athlete's Code of Conduct. This encompasses judo clubs associated with Secondary Schools, Polytechnics, ITE, and Universities, as well as judo clubs open to the public.
