Selection Policy (Overseas Competitions)
As part of a robust and transparent High Performance Framework, SJF publishes a Selection Policy that governs how athletes are selected to be part of the SJF National Team.
Athletes chosen to represent SJF/Singapore in International Competitions must be Singapore Citizens and be members of an SJF affliated judo club. This includes the judo clubs of Secondary Schools, Polytechnics, ITE and Universities as well as judo clubs open to the public.
In general, Selection Trials are conducted to select athletes for International Competitions. The details of trials are announced to all member organizations of SJF as and when they are held.
Selection Policy (SEA Games 2019)
As an affiliate of the Singapore National Olympic Committee(SNOC), SJF can nominate athletes to represent Singapore in Major Games, including the Southeast Asian Games held once every two years.
In keeping with guidelines set by SNOC, SJF publishes a Selection Policy specifically tailored to govern the selection of athletes for Major Games.
